I.C.B. Ltd. has, as its mission, the supply of sound and sustainable solutions for the waterproofing of roofs, with emphasis on environmentally friendly products and roof systems that are ecologically beneficial. The key aspects are:

• the limitation of damage to the environment caused by the products used (e.g. use recycled materials wherever possible, avoidance of plasticizers which could migrate into the environment)
  
• the longevity of the systems supplied (e.g. regarding the maintenance requirements during service life and the disposal at the end of the service life)

Additional ecological benefits include:

• the generation of renewable power via the inclusion of Photovoltaic cells in roofing membranes
  
• the use of roof spaces as roof gardens.
  

Standard roofing solutions to flat, pitched or barrel/dome shaped roofs benefit from the use of environmentally friendly single-ply roofing membranes, offering unsurpassed life-expectancy and low maintenance. Even on reaching the end of their service life, which is anticipated to be well in excess of 30 years, the membranes can usually be overlaid and may not have to be disposed of at this stage.

I.C.B. Ltd. currently supply four product ranges:

1. Alwitra® Single-ply roofing membranes and membrane accessories
   
2. Alwitra® Products to complement the membrane range:(from simple or sophisticated Perimeter Profiles to Rooflights)
   
3. Alwitra® Electric power generating membrane (EVALON® Solar) and accessories
   
4. DIADEM® Roof Garden Systems including a range of some 300 accessories.
   
   

1. Alwitra® Single-ply membranes (EVALON® & EVALASTIC®):
   
   Both membranes offer excellent waterproofing properties and both can be covered with a choice of warranties; Product, Insurance Backed or Latent Defects. These Guarantees provide the option for complete cover for Product, Design and Workmanship for periods of 10, 15 or 20 years (conditions apply; certain guarantees are subject to a premium) .
   
   
2. Alwitra® Flat Roof Products:
   
   Rainwater Outlets, Roof Vents, Paving Slab Supports, Wall Cappings & Flashings. Sophisticated engineered Perimeter Profiles for Fascias in the Artline range of products, with the option of colour coating. Rooflights, incorporating a wide variety of options: Ventilated units, Access Hatches, Sun Blind/Blackout Screens and Automatic Smoke Venting systems.
   
   
3. EVALON® Solar:
   
   With the current concerns of Global Warming and the rising Energy costs a timely innovation in the Alwitra ® Roof Systems is EVALON ® SOLAR, the Worlds FIRST single ply waterproofing membrane that incorporates flexible thin film amorphous silicon photovoltaic cells. This gives the opportunity to generate electricity for the building whilst at the same time making the roof watertight. It is, therefore, classified as a Building Integrated Product and as such is favoured by the Department of Trade and Industry (D.T.I.) regarding the awarding of and level of Grants available through the Energy Savings Trust (E.S.T.) for Solar Installations. In addition to the savings on Energy Costs, there are of course environmental benefits in the resultant reduction of Carbon Emissions. Building Integrated Photovoltaic (B.I.P.V.) and Green Roof systems help towards creating a sustainable environment.
   
   
4. Diadem® Roof Garden System:
   
   The Waterproofing System provides an ideal base for ‘Green Roof' designs being root resistant. The Roof Garden system includes the necessary Protection/Drainage/Reservoir layers and the appropriate Growing Medium substrate, Drain Gratings, Rainwater Outlet Inspection Boxes, Metal/Plastic/Concrete Gravel Boards and Edge Kerbs; everything to accommodate the ‘Extensive' (Sedum) or ‘Intensive' (Plants, Shrubs, Turf, etc.) Roof Garden finish required. Even Roof Edge (Fall Arrest) Safety Systems can be incorporated.
   

All of our installations are carried out by trained and licensed Roofing Contractors and our products carry all of the necessary certifications. In addition, a full Technical back up service is provided, including:

• the production of Specifications/NBS plus
  
• Wind Uplift calculations
  
• Roof Drainage Capacity
  
• Condensation Risk Analysis and ‘U' Value calculations.

We can also provide advice on Insulation and Cut to Falls/Tapered schemes.
